Tanto-jutsu (Knife):

In order to defend against the knife one needs to know how it is used and what it is capable of. The knife also teaches us how to move smoothly, lightly and with great speed. The hand requires some amount of striking power but the knife requires very little thus flow, speed and effortless effort are built. The training embraces training at various distances, flow drills and cutting. This training is available only to yudansha (blackbelts)
