Curry Sensei

Curry Sensei

Curry Sensei was not the most talented nor the most flexible white belt in his class when he started martial arts at age 10 (1986), in fact he brought up the rear. However he was persistent! He trained regularly, worked on his strengths and his weaknesses to become a well rounded martial artist and a the leading SR uke, inspiring those who followed him. He became a yudansha (blackbelt) in 1991. Sensei is full of suppleness and great inner strength; he has used his martial skills to overcome several of life’s greatest challenges. Curry Sensei is very good striking or throwing and interchanges the two effortlessly. He is a solid Iai practitioner who has trained in Japan (one month). Currently he is one of Shoshin Ryu’s National Directors and is loved by everyone.

Curry Sensei holds a B.S. in computer science and is currently a software engineer in Anchorage, AK.
